Capcom’s Latest Trademark Application for “Darkstalkers”

CAPCOM Co., LTD., (more commonly known as just ‘Capcom’) the multinational video game developer based in Osaka, Japan, is working on a new trademark application for an old gaming franchise. The company has filed a U.S. trademark application for “DARKSTALKERS” (see U.S. Serial No. 88752746).

The application was filed under international classes 009 and 041, and its claimed list of goods and services are:

Darkstalkers (known in Japan as simply “Vampire”) is a series of gothic, horror-themed fighting games produces by Capcom, with the first Darkstalkers game (titled “Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors”) being released for arcades in 1994. The last Darkstalkers game was “Darkstalkers Resurrection,” which was released in March 2013 for download on the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.
